George & Cecile Sander

Director & SCBS
George and Cecile committed their lives to Jesus as Lord whilst still in school. Before their wedding in 1985, they both sensed God calling them into Missions. Their journey started in 1986. After training with YWAM, they moved to Lesotho where they did pioneer work from 1987 – 1997. Both their kids were born in the mountain kingdom. They moved to Madagascar from 2001 – 2002; then pastored the Baptist Church in Dundee from 2003-2005; served at Northcliff Union Church as Associate Pastor from 2006 – 2010 and lead the Baptist Church of the North in Mauritius from 2011 – 2014. In 2015 they joined CfC Ministry staff team.
George directs the work of CfC as well as fulfilling the role of Bible School Principal and lecturer. He preaches in various churches as well as running conference for pastors, alumni as well as marriage retreats.
Cecile support George in catering for the Bible School and the various conferences hosted. She also teaches Food Technology in the Skills4Life program that the couple launched in 2016.
George studied at the Theological Seminary of Southern Africa (ESSA) from 1998 – 2000. He is an ordained Baptist Minister. Cecile studied as a Christian Lay Counsellor plus completed a 1-year Diploma in Theology at ESSA.
They believe that their focus in ministry is to bring glory to God through equipping His people for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:11-14)
Jeff and Heather Nell

Silver Oaks Retreat & Maintenance
Jeff and Heather both grew up in Johannesburg and lived in the southern suburbs most of their lives. They met at Mondeor Methodist Church and were married in 2007. They have three daughters, Hannah, Claire and Julia who are homeschooled. They love Lord and look for ways to serve the church community. They currently fellowship and serve at Margate Baptist Church
They moved to the South Coast in 2024, keeping God close and an open heart to His leading. Upon arriving they soon felt God's call to serve at CfC Ministries full time. They moved onto the property and started work in August 2025. Jeff fulfils the roles of Maintenance and Retreat Manager and has started theological studies. Heather Homeschools the girls and helps with cooking when needed. She also uses her creative talents to assist with graphic design, newsletters and social media.
The family enjoys the outdoors, and all participate at the Lifesaving club and play Ultimate Frisbee together.
Kevin & Donné

Skills 4 Life
Kevin and Donné Proctor
Together they answered God's call to join CFC in May 2022.
Kevin was formerly an operations manager in Johannesburg where the couple had their firstborn daughter named Kate. Donné has a Counselling Degree through UNISA and is passionate about serving in worship ministry.
Since moving back to the South Coast, Kevin and Donné have been blessed with 2 more daughters, Hayley and Emma.
They are passionate about cross-cultural ministry and love to see God's people working together to shine the light of Christ into the community.
Mariet

Administration
Mariet Bekker is a retired lawyer who joined cfcm in July 2024. She has a heart for Ministry specifically for cross culture outreach. The Lord has called her and from a very young age she was involved in church activities.
Although she was in the legal field, the Lord has led her to do a Diploma in Theology from the International Institute of Theology (ITI) and she also have a Certificate in Counselling. Her vision is to uplift the community and to work with people of all cultures. She is also learning Zulu to improve her communication skills.
She has been tasked to do office administration including the binding of manuals and keeping Registers for the Bible School; the upkeep of the Theological Library approximately 8,000 books; assisting with retreats and camps, and teaching computer classes for the skills4life program.
Support Staff
Zama Zoko

Farm & Security
Zama is married to Zanele and they have 2 little boys. He has been living and working at Silver Oaks from the time CfC bought the property. Zama and his family live onsite. Zama looks after the farm, is responsible for security on-site as well as helping with interpretation for the Skills4Life program.
Thobile Nhlumayo

Household & S4L
Thobile is married and has three children. She is the key in CfC’s ministry of hosting people. She is responsible for household, and making sure all the facilities are ready for campers to use. She has been with CfC for more than 10 years. Thobile also assist with sewing training at least once a year when she takes a class.
Thembi

Household
Thembi is responsible for household and making sure all the facilities are ready for campers to use. She has been with CfC since 2022.
Spha Diya

Maintenance
Spha has worked at CfC since 2015. He is responsible to keep the CfC buildings well maintained.
Alfred Mpofana

Gardens
Alfred has worked at CfC since 2017. Alfred is responsible for the upkeep of the terrain and gardens.
Rosemary Dhlezi

Household (part-time)
Rosemary is married and has 3 children. She is helping Thobile with household duties twice per week.
