In Numbers 6:24-26, Aaron was told to pronounce the following blessing on God’s people: “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His face upon you and give you peace.”
It is an incredible blessing, but it comes with conditions. It is not spelled out here, but it is evident from God’s Word that those who wish to receive His blessings need to fully obey Him and serve Him only!
This blessing is still relevant today as Jesus our High Priest intercedes on our behalf before God. The conditions are the same – wholehearted commitment and full obedience.
