REMEMBER is a central theme throughout the Old Testament. In Isaiah 46:9-10 we read these insightful words: “Remember the things I
have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like Me. Only I can tell you
the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.”
In this verse God reminded Israel that He is God, that He is in control, that He is their source and
future. The God we serve is almighty, unchanging and set on accomplishing His will on earth. No one
can stop Him fulfilling His mission which is centered on salvation through Jesus Christ. Just consider the
privilege to be part of His mission as the Great Commission is fulfilled!

This year we want to recall the grace and goodness of God through this mission. It is not about CfC, or
the people God used to serve through this mission. It is a celebration of Almighty God. It is a celebration
to honour and glorify Him. It is a feeble attempt from mere human beings to express thanks and
praise to Him who has made all this possible.
