John 17 is known as the “High Priestly Prayer of Jesus”. In verse 1, Jesus used two words that should shape our world and life view as Christians. These words are especially of relevance as we will soon remember the birth of our Saviour. The words are “heaven” and “Father”.
In 1 Peter 1 : 15 – 16 Peter calls the child of God to a separated life, for the God whom we serve is holy. How do we live such a holy life? Peter directs us in verses 13 – 16 with the following advice on holy living:
